Important Rail Service Changes at Patricroft
From Sunday 18th May, Northern Rail are introducing a new timetable that will affect rail users at Patricroft station: in particular, key peak hour commuter services are being removed from the timetable - the 08:36 will no longer be stopping at Patricroft station. Additionally, the 10:39 from Manchester Victoria to Patricroft (and onwards to Liverpool Lime Street) will no longer call at Patricroft station. Please note that Friends of Patricroft Station are disappointed not to have been informed or consulted by Northern Rail or Transport for Greater Manchester in respect of these timetable changes. While FrOPS has no responsibility for service timetabling, please be assured that we will continue to campaign to have peak hour rail services reinstated and for greater service frequency - join us for better rail services!

Additionally, representatives from both FrOPS and FRECCLES recently met with Hazel Blears, MP for Salford and Eccles, to discuss support for improved rail service frequency at both Eccles and Patricroft station. We are pleased to announce that a half hour Adjournment Debate on Rail Services in Eccles took place in Westminster Hall next Wednesday, 26th March 2014, 4.30-5pm.
